Job Title: Permit Receiver

Job Summary:
The Permit Receiver is responsible for obtaining,
processing, and managing work permits to ensure compliance with all safety
regulations and company policies. This role serves as the key point of
coordination between workers, supervisors, and safety personnel to ensure that
all work activities have the necessary permits before commencing.
Key Responsibilities / Job Description:
1. Permit Acquisition and Management
- Request and obtain necessary work permits before starting
any job.

Ensure that all permit information is complete and accurate.

Maintain an organized record of all active permits for
tracking and inspection purposes.
2. Safety Compliance
- Review permit conditions before approving work operations.

Ensure that all workers understand and adhere to the
permit-to-work system policies.

Conduct safety briefings or toolbox talks to explain permit
conditions.
3. Coordination and Communication

Coordinate with safety officers, site supervisors, and other
stakeholders to ensure compliance with permit regulations.

Ensure proper handover of permits between shifts.

Report any permit violations or potential safety hazards to
the safety team.
4. Inspection and Compliance Monitoring
- Regularly check if work is being performed according to
permit conditions.

Stop operations if there are any permit violations or safety
hazards.

Ensure that all workers use the proper Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or vocational certificate (preferably
with occupational safety training).

Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing
industries as a permit receiver or in a similar role.

Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety procedures.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to read and understand permit documents and safety
guidelines.

Safety training certification such as COSH (Construction
Occupational Safety and Health) or BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health)
is an advantage.
Work Environment & Conditions:
- May work on construction sites, plants, or industrial
settings.

Required to wear PPE such as helmets, gloves, and safety
vests.

May need to work in extreme weather conditions or hazardous
environments.

Must be flexible with shifting schedules depending on
project requirements.
